Perusing through the site found this little gem. There is something about BW that appeals to me. This is a mundane subject, but it sure changes when you are able to capture the tonality and texture inherent in this type of subject. Avoiding the danger of being verbose the bottom line is, this shot it is very pleasing to look at. Shadow detail is nice and the blackness in the window adds mystery to the shot. Nice capture. Rule of thirds, composition, those work too :-) Regards Otto

This is excellent. The mood, the tones, the composition, the perspective. The diagonal curtain really adds.

Yes, the curtain had apparently been pulled out by the wind and hooked on a nail or splinter. The last time I passed by it had come loose and was hanging limply in this second story window. The house has been completely abandoned.

This is a nice shot and the black and white is great for it. I think though the lines are slanted and it isn't perfectly straight. Still a great shot.

I'm very fond of photos like this of old wooden buildings, the curtain just adds that extra something. Very good Lannie.

Very nice detail and tone. Was the curtain really drew up on the outside like that ?
