Hi Chris

I love your photo. The detail is amazing.. i would love to use it in a doc that I am doing on vintage cars. let me know if that is possible.

Fine capture of a fast car, very good detail and color.

Nice shot and a very interesting car. I'd also like to see a bit more space in front and a bit less behind but otherwise great job. I especially like the diagonal movement.

Thanks Adam,

yes, this seems to be the british version ... Great Britain is the only Europian country, where the steering wheel is on the right.
BTW ... this isn't a crop ... it's right out of the cam ... only resized for the Web and a bit sharpened afterwards.

Greetings from Germany
Chris

Thanks Antonio!

Thank you too, John!
Yes, the 75-300IS is a nice lens, though it focusses really slow, but it works nice with the AI Servo of the D30.
Mmh, the distance ... hard to say ... I stood on the tribune vis-á-vis the pit ... I bet it was something around 50 meters.
The speed? This shot was taken in the home stretch, I guess something around 100-140km/h ... it's top speed is around 190km/h as far as I know, but this wasn't a top speed race, but a regularity test, so the average speed of each round had to be equal or in other words, each lap had to be driven in the same time.
BTW ... I made a mistake ... the focal length was 255mm, not 240mm, sorry.

I would like to see more space in front of the car. If this was cropped, maybe another crop would work. I find it interesting that the steering wheel is on the right side. Was this an export model for Britain or Japan? Are there other European contries that drive on the left?

Hey Chris,
this shot is perfect. All is perfect here. I like it a lot. What was the distance to the object and could you tell us your best guess about the speed in km/h of the vehicle?

This shot proves that the Canon EF 75-300mm is a real good lens with awesome performance, even at 240mm.

Congratulations
Best regards
*John*
