I took this picture using the bulb setting on my camera and a cable release. I just put the camera on a tripod, focused on a blast of fireworks before this one, then waited. When the blast first went up I opened the shutter and just held it open until it was finished.
First time lucky. I don't think so. I've seen a lot of this sort of thing and this is definitely one to be proud of. I've got to add however, that for me, this image has been ruined by the overly large and prominent copyright notice.
Ok, sorry I didn't add some more information before. I have updated it. What you don't know about this picture is that it was the first time I've ever taken pictures of fireworks or used the bulb setting on my camera.
Also, I only got 3 or 4 good shots out of 4 rolls of bad shots.
Why is there no information provided? Many people on here, myself included, would love to know the film you used, the shutter speed, and such on how you captured these fireworks so beautifully. They are caught in perfect symetry, and I know how hard it can be to make these shots work. Can you remember what you did? I would be interested to know.
