i'm not a great fan of black backgrounds but in this one it works maybe because the flower has a nice shape and colors.. it looks more of an abstract.. or maybe the darkness below softens the blak.. i'm not sure but this is a great composition..

Nice flowers... not so common like others. Good sharp photo. Good petal details mostly because of the right angle of lighting!

This is a beautiful shot. What I like more is light treatment (nice shadows and transparencies) and sharpness. I think it might be improved by lighting a little bit the flower buds with a bit of flash. Also composition would gain by leaving more space around the flower. I like it anyway. Regards.
