About This image is a Polaroid Emulsion Transfer/Lift on Marble Tile.
I apologize for the black edges on the image...it had to be scanned in.

I took the photo on slide film and transferred it to Polaroid 669 film using a slide printer. Then I 'boiled' the image off of the paper backing and transferred it to this matted marble tile from Home Depot.
The color is actually more beige in person. The scanner seems to have added a pinkish-ness to it.

You found a good slide to create this prehistoric-looking photo :-)

Scarlet: Yes, it's fixed. I tried to scratch it and everything. The only way it's gonna come off is dropping the tile and breaking it. :)
I sprayed it with UV Protectant Matte Krylon Spray.

Is this the same slide printer?

It doesn't say it's a slide printer, but a power control center. It appears to have a polaroid back but it's hard to tell from the pic. I'd be interested in it if it's what you used. If you have time to take a look at it, you can email me at betsyhern@yahoo.com. Thanks!

Betsy: Thanks a bunch! I actually used a lesser known Hanimex Diaprint slide printer.

Great job, Melisa. I know that these are a lot of work and kind of messy but so much fun. You've married a good subject to a good medium here. Did you use a DayLab or a Vivitar slide printer?
