what i like best about this is how it fades toward the edges and turns my attention back to the center. the dark edges create the feeling that the picture contains all, that there is nothing left to show, which adds to the loneliness. the skewed angle is nice, too.

Thank you. I like this shot especially the vignetting and the texture. It reminds me of many things (awesome title by the way).
The vignetting and textire causes the tissue box and spent tissues to project at the viewer and recede from the viewer a technique that I love and just saw another image today that succeeded at it). The effect is that of drawing the viewer in. It draws the viewer into the image and into the emotions of that image.
I like this direction but then of course I would. ;)
