About The original shot was not shot at night, but this is the view I wanted. I clearly need a 16-bit capable editor to improve on this, but in the meantime...

I love this view.. I have one in mind I've thought about for a long time close to my job, and old bldg that has a tower..but the lightng is never right, and there's so many newer buildings messing up the view for a daytime shot.. Good job on this one.

I might be used as a symbol for unknowledge concerning technical side of photography, but I give You my compliments for an idea, and result!!! I don't know what vision You have regarding improving this 1, I can only say I like this version very much_It contains strong radiant atmosphere which give's nicely balanced impact to my "eye".
Regards, S.

Love this one. So dark, so mysterious, I feel like a crow flying over the city.

Stefan,
I do like the stretched sky, like it is moving on to cover the city even more. Powerful shot. Well done!

Peta - a 16-bit editor is capable of manipulating images that were scanned or otherwise captured with more than 256 values (8-bit) per color channel. In this case this would be a good thing since I am stretching the pixel values in the sky to cover a larger range than was originally there. Adobe Photoshop does 16-bits if you need it to. I guess I need a little more cash in my software fund.

Stefan looks like night and mmonlight to me. Good effort and a nice composition. Not sure what a 16 bit editor is?
