Lovely photo, and it's amazing that you found a blueberry in bloom in the fall.
Lori's recommendation of a reflector is a good one. It's not nearly as expensive as a ring light, and you can see the effect before taking the picture. Just move it around till you see the effect you want. You can even make your own with crumpled tinfoil and cardboard, or just plain white cardboard.

Hi Bruce,
This is certainly an interesting flower! Never have seen one like it that I can remember! Very nice!! I use a reflector to fill in shadows at times outside, you might want to give it a try! (I use a gold one)

Thank you for your comment on my "Asphodelus microcarpus". If I may give you a hint, add a ring-flash to your equipment. It is not expensive & when you put a half transparent object, like your "Fall blueberry blossom" between it & the camera, the effect is enhaced, just as in the photo you commented on.
