Enduring those freezing temperatures had it's rewards mon ami. This is my favorite from that hike you took. I think DOF good, the backround [IMO] should be a little blurred & the focus on the subject which is bathed in that shaft of light. Really nice image here.

Super picture Christian, I have a small feeling though that I would have liked the tree to be a little more in the shaft of light and not in front of it. But that is nature i guess. Great picture anyway. Regards Neil

I like how you were able to capture the sun's rays in the photo. Looks very magical indeed. The background is a little distracting...maybe by playing with depth of field it would make the tree stand out as the center of the picture. Very well Done.
