About	This photo was captured in color, converted to grey scale, then I layered in a bit of color over the left eye (with Photoshop). This is my second photo ever and my first time using Photoshop so please offer up any advice you may have.

I think this is really creative. Very different way of adding color to a close-up portrait. My fav of yours.

for me its beautiful!! i do love the combitnation of b/w and colors... just try do make more experimentation in PS and you'll love the outcome in some ways.. just practice and play with filters, color mixtures and brightness and contrast.. i'll wait for more of your images soon..

Hi Benjamin, nice portrait! I'm not quite sure why you layered the colour in the eye? That is the artist in you, but to me, it looks like she has a "Black" eye. I would have liked to see the orignal to see what/if any colour i would have layered in. I think the idea though of a combination B&W & Coloour is interesting and it's good to see someone willing to explore their own creativity. Keep it up and i'll be watching for more work from you. I can't tell you anything about the use of photoshop sorry. But I do think you made an excellent picture. The diagonally made by the eyes and the strong shadow by the nose make a strong inprission. Good work!
