About well...it'snot exactly how itwas supposed to be but it's the first try..and it's noteasy to work just with candles and run from camera and back all the time..everything is quite random...i'llwork on it:o)and quite a lot of PC to clean the right side(it's in fron of the window to get the black background) ..any comments welcome:,)

Excellent idea and composition Lukas! I can appreciate your frustration in a shot like this. To pre focus, set your cam to manual focus and place an object where your head would be, prefereably your nose and focus on that. Try a higher ISO, like 800 to get a little more shutter speed, that will prevent any motion blur. As far as the background, you could set a black board or hang a dark blanket to your left side, a dark blanket will absorb more light, leaving less cleaning in the final scene, and a small mirror in front of you will allow you to see how it looks before pulling the trigger good luck, keep on shooting!

Hi Lukas

I really like this look in a photo. I've done two shots very similar to this in my portfolio. You could try it with a much stronger light than candles but experiment with underexposing the shot. I used a desk reading lamp that was very bright & gradually adjusted the speed & f-stop to get a darker & darker image. At least with a digital camera you can get the shot back instantly. I also had trouble getting the focus spot on but found a watercolour effect in PS worked really well.

Anyway...good luck
