So nice and wonderful composition! Very interesting with the icy river, and how it goes to the windmill! Is it still ice on water in Holland? Just asking because I heard that England is having like +14 degrees, and I thought Holland is quite near. Just curious... In Stockholm it has been snowing whole night and whole day.

Prachtig, froor het maar wat langer door, dan konde we weer schaatsen in zulke mooie landschappen. Ik vind dat je veel geluk hebt elke dag zulke mooie plaatjes te zien! Echt fantastisch, prachige lichtval, echt winterweer. Alleen het water rechts bij het hek waar het zo weerkaatst is eenbeetje overbelicht. Maar dit geeft weer een speciaal effect aan het hek, moeilijk moeilijk ;)

Your photographs only go to show that even a well-explored subject like windmills--in Holland--can still produce exceptionally beautiful images. This is wonderful. The ice-blue sky, fading into white, the long row of trees on the horizon, the mist that gives the sense of their distance across the snowy fields, and the ice on the river, leading our eyes to... that fine windmill. It's a great image, and completely fresh!
