Thanks for your time and the information, Piotr. The orange filter sounds like one I need to have in my bag.

Hi, nice to hear you again. Today you are my the only commentator:) I've used orange to convert skintones to a lighter grey. It lightens the red-orange colour in the skin. The orange filter also reduces skin blemishes. The skin looks - let's say - "smooth". And it's a good filter for B&W landscapes. It darkens blue sky - less than red filter but orange is faster and does not darken green foliage like red filters do. Tell me if I can help you in something else. It's a pleasure for me. Best regards!

Piotr, if I might follow up here, I'd like to ask you about the use of the orange filter. I assume that it is used to increase contrast in b&w photos. It obviously worked perfectly here. How do you decide when to use it? Thanks.

Piotr, this is a very engaging photo. Sharp focus, good depth of field, wonderful toning. The object in the foreground is a bit distracting, but only a little.
