About I love the sound of Black-capped Chickadees as they flit about from tree to tree. Their friendly, curious nature makes them easy subject matter. I shot this photo standing about 4 feet from the feeder.

Thanks Jonas and Harvey for your comments. Unfortunately, since this photo was taken (over a year ago now) our cats have scared off much of the local bird population. This photo would be much harder to take now than it was back then. Glad you both liked the photo.

The slow shutter speed here makes for a nice abstract of motion. I like this one!

Hi John, this one is so good, I?ve tried to feed the birds in my back yard but they are to spoiled by older ladies in the neighbourhood aparently feeding them with something better then I am.. Keep at it..

Thanks for going back Artie. It really must appear badly blurred for you as there is only one bird pictured (not birds, as you refer to). Oh well. Back to the drawing board.

Hey John missed this because one day during the week there were more posts than I could review, I think it went over 40 posts.....
the image.......reading your and Gary's comments I understand both of your point and appreciate the validity..however this image doent work for me..the birds are not really discernable as such so the inclusion of the feeder is a moot point....I would however thing that the blurred birds along might make a cool abstraction...might be worth a shot and doc it up in shop....

Hi Gary; Thanks for the critique (I guess) - I appreciate that saw potential in this image; however, if I take the feeder out, (or had been able to shot the bird without the feeder) I feel I would just end up with a blurry bird.

The feeder is included on purpose to put the blurred subject matter into some sort of definable context. Perhaps I will post one of the other shots from this roll that isn't quite so experimental and see if elicits more response.
