that fits! it is exactly how i feel today. small and blue. waiting for more nourishing sunlight so that i can burst open in a blaze of color. the essence of these flowers is expertly captured here. i think the only thing that would improve this image is for expanded DOF, but that is my choice not yours.

This has a nice treatment of the dof, rendering the background soft. I wonder about your choice of orientation, framing a vertical subject horizontally. This is done a lot these days, but I have to ask why, since the framing includes more of the background, which is not detailed or necessary for context, and less of the subject. The out of focus color splotches (those on the right) then become distractions to the subject.
