About This old house has been standing, as you see it, for as long as I can remember. I used a red filter for the shot, and there is more tweaking in photoshop than I usually do.

This is an apparition Richard, disguised as an excellent picture ? As I kept looking at the amazing atmosphere you created I began to ?see? the ?strange?, initially not so apparent..
But look again and see the phantom - possibly mistaken for a tree brush and also quite concealed but for the withiest fir framing the head! See the THING you?ve created!
Look again to left edge of the house? standing straight up beside it? wait? that?s no phantom? it's a man! A large face with hair combed back, jowl tucked in, left shoulder hidden behind the barn? wait? he?s seen me? I hear the horrific grind of the chainsaw? maybe too late for this viewer?

I love it! Somehow the very grainy look goes well with the deep tones and the house. Nice composition. I see that there are more and more remarks every time you post now. Everyone is catching on to how talented you are. I'm happy!

hello Richard
that atmosphere and that sky... a lot impressive... but the composition is perfect the "balance" of the tones is sublime and the cut squared with the centered of the subject renders the image strongly!

cheers
roby

Thanks for the comment, Ran.I think you are right about the sky. The sky on the day was featureless, even with the red filter. I boosted the contrast in photoshop, (perhaps too much) trying for a stormy effect. Oh well, I always learn from the mistakes.

Excellent shot. The lights are great and so does the contrast. The sky might be a bit too grainy...
Ran.
