The haziness definately adds to the mood. I'm reminded of lakes in the B.C. interior I used to fish on as a wee lad, my Dad and I would get up really early in the morning, and just before we began fishing there was always a moment to enjoy the peaceful stillness of the morning. The ribbon of yellow in the sky adds that little element to make the shot more interesting - but here I think it may actually slightly upset the mood. Not that you can tell the sky to change colour for you, but I'd be curious to visualize how it might look without.

Kevin, the mood and color are just wonderful. I agree with Artie, sharpness would do nothing to improve this, the soft effect adds to the peaceful, quiet mood. Love it!

Surreal. Can you imaging going down this stream in a boat, the quiet, kind of spooky feeling you might get wondering what is inside the trees?

I agree with you on the effect..very somber and Tranquil....overall mood is really nice and wouldnt worry about lack of sharpness as it wouldnt add any thing further to this...this is all mood and it works here.....
