You can improve the lighting in the future by trying to use a bit of side lighting to pick up texture and shape in the people. With all those curves, it'll really show. This will give the 3d shapes more depth and make the picture more interesting overall. If their unlit side turns out to be too dark, try a large car window sun reflector or a white sheet set up as a reflector.
It'd be great if you could get these two to model for you somewhat regularly for a bit - there's a lot of potential in the contrasting curves and their wonderful smiles.

Personally i do like this better adds to it more. Probably not much you can do about the lighting now. But i do like this better!

Love the idea of this picture, the pose and the expression! Great opportunity. But, I would have turned it sideways, and the lighting is too harsh in the background, it shouldnt be behind them as it hurts the photo's lighting. And it seems just a tad out of focus. Also you could probably contrast and darken it a bit more to make the BW work better. Great ideas, great moment to capture on film as well. good work! ~mandy
