Svend , I am encouraged by your comperhensive technical comment . I appreciate your notice and I relaay like to have your opinion on my other photos. regards zia
Greetings, Zia. I am truly surprised that this photograph of yours has not attracted more attention and commenting, because it surely deserves it. I like it very much. To start with, you have achieved excellent and striking detail throughout the image, from the lace cloth upon which the golden boots are resting on the left, to the intricately patterned fragment of fabric seen at top right. Then let me turn my attention to the table, which I assume is a glass table given its reflective qualities. You chose wisely when you made the table the centrepiece of your composition and more wisely still, in my opinion, when you made the reflection of the moon the (almost) exact centre of the picture. On the tabletop, the inverted reflection of the window gives a wonderful plunging perspective. The glow of the moon gives beautiful silver highlights to the inner edge of the table and the edges of the reflected window panes. The mood you have created is one of deep mystery and eastern tranquillity and beauty. In terms of colour, I love the range of warm golds and reds, contrasted with cool blues and silvers -- very different and unique. If I could have this picture as a print hanging on my wall, I would take it in a second. I know I will return to look at this many times. Congratulations! Rgds, Svend
