Hey bro,
I see the connection problem and that was the reason why I didn't upload the image immediately. in fact, I blurred out the back in PS... =) thanks for the honest feedback, T-bro

Hi Thilo, Good shot, very well exposed. I like the absence of a lensflare, although I think one can be expected....;o) Nice setup, and a good composition. The choice of primary subject is a bit ambiguous; the clouds and setting sun or the beetle.... Not really important, as they go perfectly together. Very good shot!
Cheers,
Hugo

Mmmmhmmm! Nut sure about it. Drama sky, nice reflection on the wind screen, nicely framed picture through the beetle, blury background but somehow I can't connect everything. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad at all, but it's not your best shoot. C.

Dear Angelo,
about the lens testing: I'm glad to have a colleague who owns about 20 different nikon/sigma/tamron lenses. so I do a lot of testing with them to find the optimal for the D70. ;-)
I made several pictures with the beetle as a whole but I don't like them as much as the detail shot. so you're probably right about the tribute factor. take care, thilo

Dear Bradley,
you are right about the bright cloud. couldn't get any cloud that let fewer lights through ;-) take care, thilo

Great people's car. It better not rain, I don't think that windscreen wiper will do a job :)
What do you mean "lens testing project"?
As an abstract of detail on the car, it's a good image. As a tribute, I don't think this has the best angle on the VW. It has such a great shape, it would have been nice to see more of it, or something that is unmistakably VW.

Well deserved tribute! Actually I like the bright clound, it's reflecting a very nice burn on the car.

While I find the bright cloud a bit distracting, the tones and clarity of the Beetle are astounding! A fitting tribute, and as usual, fine work, Thilo. ..Brad
