Hi Gabriel
As you can see trying for back lighting subjects can at times be challenging for our small digital cameras. Sometimes you can receive dramatic results. Like the sun flare in yours. Most of the time I will use a tripod with my Sony DSC P72 with the self timer and use my hand as a sun shade. Keep up the good work. John
