Sorry Manuel, I must disagree. If you had been there you too would have not changed a thing from this shot, it was like traveling back in history, you could almost hear the platoons as they marched by. I too am a military vetran and it brings me back to my bootcamp days. Thanks for your comment

Like the composition and the grain but I would get rid of the sign on the left and possibly crop some of the bottom/lower half of the picture.
Wonder what it looks like at ultra high contrast off the original.
