minimalismo, fotografía y arquitectura son buenos aliados.

Casi como una foto de Hizao Suzuki.

Todd, I like this image, I think the title works well here. It?s beautifully minimalist, cold, lonely, sad. I like it

todd! dig it! how very kubrick. i can't help but think of 2001: space odyssey when i look at it. "sorry dave, i cannot do that". good to see you posting more ;^) now i have to catch up.

btw, i haven't disappeared. i was in LA last week on business but had a nice side-trip to death valley. got a few keepers too ;^) i'll be working on them today and will put one up today or tomorrow.

take care,
tom

I had a glance in your portfolio.. you have an unusual and personal eyecatching for photographs.
Very well seen and composed.

stress on composition and regular colour arrangement I can see.. you work good be used in some designing actually, catalogues, product presentations, especialy for architectural and interiors solutions

Richard,
i'm glad you enjoyed the subtle color, that's one of the reasons this shot really stood out for me. thanks for the comment!

i like your approach,mr.Miller, and i might suggest a good cropping of the right wall ;-)
this is the kind of photo i frame very often in my camera's viewfinder since i have a tendency for minimalistic compositions -- but i rarely press the shutter, and i leave the image unrecorded.
(the reason for this will remain ...unspoken :-P )
enjoy your life!

What attracts me here is that you did not do the obvious and convert to b+w. The fact that this is almost a monotone, but still retains some subtle coloring, makes this image unique. This gives some additional interest to what would be fairly minimalist otherwise. This intersection of three planes leaves me wondering what will eventually be hung on the wall.

Beautifully silent. Funny that you named it after a song.

great shot todd. this feels, i don't know. clinical? maybe that'd be a word to describe the general tone. anyhow, i love it when photographers make interesting compositions out of things that feel so vacant, as you've done here.

That's an interesting interpretation John! :)
I thinkthe image does have a certain quietness to it, so Unspoken probably IS fitting as a title.

Ironically, this image was taken at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, which is a wonderful and sometimes loud museum with virtually no pretension in the air, and a staff who are quite kind to local amateur photographers.

I don't know if you're familiar with my portfolio, If you are, you can imagine I LIKE this very much!
Great minimal.

I think you underestimate the title belonging to the image. I get the feeling of being in an "up tight" avant-garde Gallery displaying crap works of art for high prices. As you walk your footsteps echo and the snooty attendant give you a withering look because you are making too much noise. Cheers John
