I have about several websites. 2 of them are www.neilmwhite.dsl.pipex.com and http://neilsplace.dyndns.org
both of which are dumping grounds for photos. They are hopelessly out of date in terms of links etc. "neilsplace" doesn't even have a proper front page, but is very useful as its on my own home PC and I can load as much as I like on there!
I'll post the photo on one of the flying forums at a time to see what response I get. I'm fairly certain I know that the aircraft is registered to an organisation based in Jersey, but its probably one of 2 P47's on the British a/c register. (the other is a replica)
Let you know how it goes.

Martin,
To help me, I probably need to be able to put a link to the "large" size image of the photo in a couple of aviation related forums where these pilots are likley to be known.
Can you either,
point me to another website that doesn't require login where there is a copy of this image
or
permit me to make a copy and put it on my own website that I run from home.
TIA,
Neil

Martin,
Hope you offered a copy to the pilots. They're a vain lot and love photos that show them in a good light!
Seriously, if they didn't get a copy, I could maybe track them down. With such a beautiful image they may be persuaded to take you for a ride (if not in that one - perhaps in something else).

P-46 Thunderbolt. Referred to as the "Jug". Built by Republic Aviation. Hell of a tank buster.
