Thanks Ryan. The original colour pic is great too... late morning sun, cherry trees in bloom, the grass covered in petals. A classic spring day. Ah but the irony of the composition, it was begging to be worked on. The inspiration to desaturate the background came from a week of viewing other photos, yours included, on this website.
