Nice night photo, I could say kind of standard one. I miss a bit of sharpness here and maybe, just maybe, bit longer exposure. 5/7

Thanks Susan, It has always been on my mind to do a similar long exposure closer to dusk. I have just checked out your photo from the same spot, and I agree there is a huge level of detail obtained by taking the shot earlier in the peace, mainly due to the coloured sky/backdrop showing the buildings limits more clearly compared to the blackness of night. Thanks, When i am back in Perth next I will attempt to get back up to Kings Park. Russell

you shoot this to late, I have the say photo from the same spot in my folio but early in the night, and I feel it has much more detail.

Lovely scene, Russell. Didn't you try to shoot it with slightly faster shutter speed? I guess it would have made the glow looks sharper...:) Congrats, my friend. Regards, Hanggan

Thanks Nikolai, Sorry to say I don't think they are stars, but a few dust specks from when i scanned the image,I just have never touched it up. I know what you mean about the glow from cities, Perth doesn't have a very deep CBD so the glow is not extremely evident. No real PS, just increased the contrast a touch turn the night sky blacker, and i guess this may have reduced any city glow. But I think this just corrected a slight over exposure. Russell

Great shot. I like how you can see stars above city. Usually in the shot like this there would be strong yellow glow form the city. Did you do any PS work on this?
