Very sweet expression and pose. I'm guessing that the angle of the light is intentional and that you deliberately shot with her face in shadow. The light looks like it may have been a little strong to have angled her into it and that she is sitting on a bench that can't be moved. I think this is excellent under those circumstances, but if I were there specifically for a portrait, I would try to find softer or indirect light (shade of a tree), and capture the catchlights in her eyes. Soft light casting a shadow over a portion of the face adds dimension. You likely know all this, but I thought I'd throw it in as this seemed like a good subject for the discussion...lol. T.
