About
Ok, this might be a critique of my own image but, I just wanted to say what I like about this shot. All in all I don?t think that this is a very interesting shot. But I like the diagonal line the branch has carrying the extra weight of the snow. I liked the green red and white Christmas type colors. I intended on getting a shot that day that doesn?t quite look right but the reason is not apparent. Maybe this post is bad timing, but if I were to look at this in December, I?d be thinking, where was this shot taken? What kind of tree is that? But the reality is, it?s just a crabapple tree shot at the end of April in Michigan. Seasons Greetings, Spring Season in Michigan ~Mike
The diagonals are nice, and the colors, I agree, are classic. It IS a strange time to post this series, but maybe that's why I find them so appealing. Besides that, like you said, this IS Michigan in April! What I find most compelling about this shot is the 3-D effect of the snow falling. The appropriate DOF really gives this life! Now tell me you PS'd the snowflakes in there, and I'll really feel like a dork.. Wonderful work, Michael! Can you spell H A L L M A R K??? ...Brad
Very nice shot!!! Good colors, DOF and composition!!! Love the falling snow in the background, but I'm glad I'm not living over there... brrrrrrrrr.... ;-D!!!
