Yes, I've noticed Karl is very interested in the lens on my new camera, and it makes me quite nervous.

I'm def. paying for any expenses. That's what Mommy told me and I agree with her. I'm putting up the photos right now. I just had to wait for the 24 hour mark. ^_^

"Dad's credit card will work - he'll never know :~>"
Unhuh, Dad's a dope.
Mom, OTOH, goes over the credit card statement, and grills Dad about charges *she* doesn't recognize.
We'll get that UV filter and the extra battery ordered ASAP, Laura.
Now, when are you going to put some of those new photos up?

So be a donor (Dad's credit card will work - he'll never know :~> ). The filter for protection you're talking about is a Skylight or UV filter. Yeah, Definitely get one of those.......

Yeah, I've heard about insurance companies. I took a driver's ed course. Alright, I'll try a handstrap. I also have to buy a backup battery and a protection cover for my lense (I forget what it's called but it's the really thin piece of glass you put on your lense so it doesn't get dusty, scratched, or greasy). Oh, and I took some pictures yesterday and instantly fell in love. I can't wait to put them up! But I have to wait since I'm not a donor.

No, hand straps are cheap but they're much better than wearing the thing around your neck and having it bounch off your belly all day.. Go to Camera World /Ritz Camera downtown and tell them you wanna check one out. I have motor drives on my camera's so there's more length from top to bottom on the side but being a guy I'm sure my hand is bigger than your's so it should fit / even out in the end. Insurance is if your camera gets stolen if you're out shooting and someone grabs it and runs - stuff like that (don't think it doesn't happen - heard many stories). Your parent's homeowners Insurance might cover it but you should talk to their agent cause it might just cover home break-in's and not on the street rip-offs. It's only a few bucks. Insurance companies love it when you don't have the right coverage so they don't have to pay. You'll learn that when you get older. They have a "You didn't ask / so we didn't tell" attitude - very lovely. Tips for the day.......

No, it's definately a female. If you saw her, you'd see what I mean. She has curves. ;) Are hand straps expensive? I don't think I've ever seen one. Does a warranty (SP?) count as insurance? And yes, she's "one of those digital things." ^_^

...Very Cute....What is that? One of those Digital things? I recommend getting insurance on it AND getting rid of the neck strap and just getting a hand strap. I've used a hand strap (not to be confused with a wrist strap) forever. Much better for walking around and also a good theft prevention feature."Her"? Isn't a camera more Male-ish with the zoom and all that? Just some food for thought - call it "Jake" or "Bennie" or something.....
