Thanks, Ian. I was thinking the same thing when I titled it that. I actually have a picture that I think would work better with the "Solitude" title. Thanks for your insight. I'm so horrible with titles...
Oh, is this flower actually called a "Snow Pansy"?
I am a great fan of flower photography, as they form such willing subjects,and this one is so nicely shot with the dark background and the petals and centre contrasting beautifully.However the photo does not suggest solitude, it is a beautiful photographic record of a flower, growing in the wild, seen by only a few, at one time in the year.The eye is drawn to the flower and sees just that and not the suggested theme which is Solitude.If the title had been, for argument sake something like 'Snow pansy or Wild Iris',then that is only what you would see.
