About I recognised the signs immaediately?

Sweaty brow?
Twitchy eye-balls
Itchy fingers?

Withdrawal symptoms had set in!

But I knew how to cure 'em?

Load up some thatch!

So here it is?

And you know what?

The brow is now dry?
The eye-balls are stable?
The fingers are rock solid?

Phew!! That was a close one!

Best regards to all,

The cottage junkie!

I don't know how do you manage to get these light settings and color tones Chris... as if it was taken from a stroy book or a painting.
Great work my friend,
Khaled.

Top score there Chris. I took it hook, line and sinker. The Toobodies bit was the secret. Nice one!!!!!!
What you say is exactly what I'm experiencing and I've tried everythting to try and overcome it. Quite a mindbender?

Actually, Den, sometimes it's more like the opposite ~ okay on the camera, dark in Photoshop!!
Best regards, Chris

I'm glad you loaded up this thatch, Chris. I also appreciate the explanation of your "correction" process. This is a very picturesque cottage as you have rendered it. You would probably not be happy in Nebraska. We have a lot of hay but NO thatched cottages :-) Best wishes, Larry

Neat, well tended thatch Chris and great presentation. On viewing the original I think your PS work is incredible. Do you find that images turn out underexposed when loaded to computer when they look perfectly OK on the camera's LCD.

Just been scared out of my chair while typing by a very very low flying fast moving fighter jet.

No, it's not for sale, Joggie?
But even if it was, you'd need a very deep pocket to buy it!!
Thanks for the comment.

It has the look that you give to so many of your photos, Chris. Is it just faintly possible that your self-confessed addiction has led you into a region of diminishing returns, where you need gradually increasing doses of blue sky and saturation? Only half joking... The "look" is very attractive, of course, as your many fans agree. I am proud to count myself among them, but just wanted to strike a note of caution in the interests of honesty.

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 6/16/2005
Hi Cessy,
First, I took out the sky using the magic wand tool ~ more complicated than it sounds?
Then I adjusted the levels and contrast?
Next I add a little red and yellow to the mid tones?
And then I boosted the overall saturation by around 10?
Fifth, I got rid of all the stray white pixels in amongst the trees by locking the layer, picking the prominent tree colour with the eye-dropper tool, then painting over the white spots at an opacity of 40%?
Then I unlocked the original layer and dropped in a new sky behind it, and?
Voila!
I hope this helps.
Best regards, Chris
