About Took this picture, originally in B&W, hoping it'd have some potential. I didn't see any for quite a while until I started learning a bit from Mark Evans and Keith Saint on modifying B&W images.

I don't know. I live for PS. I don't think I would be all that interested in photography if I didn't have PS.

The great thing about this PS program is you can get the same results many ways.
How could we live without it

Thanks for the advice, Keith. I actually took this shot in B&W and then added color via Channel Mixer, did two versions, then masked off for the blue in the middle. I had never thought of using the Variations on B&W (I never cared for the results I've gotten before with color...). I will definitely try that. :)

Just experiment morgan , you know yourself when your photo looks right !! Then when you get used to the colours it will come to your head what to do ... cheers mate ( rock n roll ) .. marky .

This looks nice just the way it is Morgan.
If you go in to saturation and reduce it completely that will make it B&W.
If you go to image adjustments variations you will have the opportunity to add tone.
When finished go to edit and then fade varitons.
Click on the option color in blending modes its default is normal.
You can then reduce the opacity of the effect as you like.
You will be amazed at the results.
You can apply these changes to colour images too.

Glad to hear someone with experience in this style approves. I did do a yellow variation of this one - it looked pretty killer, but I'm crazy for reds, purples, and blues. I think I'll do some more work on it and post another version. Thanks. :)
