About
The diluted power of the sun veiled by a thin cloud permitted direct "into the light" photography without undue risk of flare. This was taken a few minutes before my previous download "emerald in pink", at my favourite local spot, Hopeman Bay, Moray, Scotland. Pentax67II, 55-100 zoom, 0.6ND hard grad to horizon, F16 at 1/4 sec. With less depth of field required than the previous shot and slightly brighter conditions, I was able to render the sea breaking over the rocks in a most pleasing manner. The reflected light from the sky on the wet sand ensured colour throughout leaving the percentage of silhouetted island rocks in the foreground separated and occupying a reasonably small proportion of the picture.
