Nice angle on the photo, good light and nice decision to use B&W, but there are a couple of things that would make it better. First, it's a little soft. Since the background is sharp, you were either too close for your camera or it chose to focus on the wrong thing in the background instead of the figurine. I'd bet you were a little closer that your camera can focus. Second, the background is cluttered and distracting, especially since it is so in focus. I'd suggest placing something (a sheet or piece of plain paper would work) behind the figurine to hide that background. Lastly, that little bit of the ear that is cropped takes away from the composition. That said, this is definitely worth trying again. Try a couple of different angles and move it in relation to the sunlight and see what you get. The idea and the composition is very good. There are just a couple of technical glitches to iron out and the more you shoot the better you'll get at the technical bits. Eric
