About
Almost 180 degree wide-angle by way of a six frame stitch.
I added the swan as I found that my eye travelled up the steps, across the bridge, along the bank to the old boat and then found no comfortable way back. The swan and its wake just helped to get back on the bridge. Am I mad, or what?
This is greatly reduced image, the original is just under 5,850 pixels across.,
Nothing else done to this image of the River Lea Navigation just North of the Thames in East London. Canary Wharf looms in the background.
Lens set at around 50mm equivalent to avoid the otherwise inevitable barrel distortion that creeps into multi-frame panoramas like this.
Thank you for your kind comments. Yes, maybe the sky should be improved. It was a very cold, bleak, grey day and I probably let my memory of that over-ride the need for a stronger image.
I think the effort you've put in has really paid off - I see what you mean about the swan, and it works really well. I think you've done an expert job with the swan - I would never have thought to put in the reflection and the wake. I think perhaps the sky needs a bit of attention - a bit more colour/contrast/interestingly shaped clouds (!) But other than that - I'm enjoying travelling over the bridge and back!
