About Looking out southwest from Britain's most southwesterly island means only one thing - sunsets that go on forever! Beyond the Bishop Rock lighthouse that you can just make out in the misty distance, there's nothing until we bump into North America.

The title of this image can be interpreted in two ways. The most obvious perhaps is that nature or God, if you prefer, is the artist, the other is that if you look closely you'll see my wife sat on a rock in the middle distance drawing the scene!

I used a three stop soft ND grad and 81B warm-up to capture this image.

Barry,

Simply Amazing my friend. Your making me want to get my Bronnie MF out and play... Just got it a few months ago and only used once before I went digital. Perhaps a bit premature, but after a 1 1/2 years on researching I did it...

Well done indeed,

Martin

Hi Barry....It is always easy to make positive comments on your shots. The simplicity and colorful power of this shot just jumped out at me even as a thumbnail

Superb landscape Barry. It actually took 3 artist to make this - God, your wife and you the photographer. Great work. The colour and light is superb, great composition too. Regards.

Its amazing how you work around the dynamic range in your shots, the 3 stop ND does not look unnatural at all (maybe it is the soft gradient that works best), the contrast of warm and cold light is quite extreme here, very expressive.
Have a nice weekend !

Wonderful colour and detail, Barry, and the lone figure gives a good sense of scale.
Best regards, Chris
P.S. I believe in both the artists! )
