I understand now. I neglected to take into account the use of the refractor as a lens. My mistake.

Thanks for the comments, Todd. For this shot I used ISO 100 and the shutter speed was more exactly 1/800 sec. I used the built-in light meter to set the exposure. The reason why the shutter speed is so high is because of the large aperture of my refractor. Maybe I could have used a slower shutter speed but it might had overexposed the white area of the picture. The next time I`m using the refractor I will take one shot at the suggested shutter speed, one overexposed and one underexposed.

Hi Ivo,
You captured a great moment. He's dozing off after a hard days work. I know the feeling.
Is there a reason you chose such a fast shutter speed? The picture would not have been so dark if you had slowed it down a bit.
