Tilling them under!? They'll be back!!!! in a multitude lol. Good to see you are a fellow Poppy lover. I was given maybe half a kilo of Poppy seeds. Thinking of finding a nice embankment somewhere remote ...ish and laying them down either in my initials or maybe a smiley face or something. So in years to come they'll flourish ;-). Thanx for your comments on my dream picture.

Thanks John. You said: "(somewhat reminiscent of my own image of poppies "Red"?)" Is the question mark because you are unsure if they are Poppies or if they are red?

I just think that this picture would bring so much color into a room. So now you will have to go and frame this one and find the perfect wall for it!

Nice way to white your signiture along the stem of the flower. It does not stand out too much, but becomes a nice detail instead. Good idea!

this is wonderful, Eleisa. the color contrasts are great, I like the detail, and placing the camera on the ground (or at least close to it) gives a great angle. does the Vivtar have a feature (like the Olympus tilt LCD) that allows you to view your shot from difficult angles? Mister Ken

Thank you for your kind words about my Poppies Sheila.
It wasn't until you said you would like to hang them in your living room that I realized I don't USE my own photos. I enjoy taking the picture but I don't hang them.
Thanks again. Eleisa

this is a different angle, usually i like to see flowers from the top since inside is where all the interesting parts of the plant are. i know you shot the photo this way so as to include that nice blue sky. it looks quite nice, the colours are vivid, but i'm still not a fan of shooting flowers from below. of course, i'm not an expert on how to do a macro of a flower, i'm still learning too, but that's just the way i feel.
at any rate, this image is good and a lot of other people liked it as well.

Exquisite colour contrast - red poppies, blue sky. The simple upward perspective, makes this an impressive and imaginative, nature floral. Good definition on petal and buds, also.
Thanks for the comment, Eliesa.

Hi Elisa. This is a great shot. Firstly, the comosition is excellent. Secondly, and in my oppinion most importantly, your angle of view is what distinguishes this shot from others. Floral shots are common, and all generally well done. However your angle of view has added an extra dimension, which adds interest and holds the observers eye. It is almost as if people will look at this image, squat down, and look up, trying to see it the way you did, through the viewfinder.
Well done.
Regards, George.
