thans jaya .... i did try the same in monocrome ... but it wasn't looking the same ..... the coloured one is a lot better :)
and no i dont own a minolta, i own a Nikon EL2, and the F55 was on udhar basis from a friend wo doen't quite find SLR's exciting ... thanks once again for your precious comments ang sincere observations

The facial surface really hits. Every crease has a story to tell I believe. The touch of smile on a very coarse face makes it lovely portrature. One suggestion, how about the same in monochrome?
A goof : You own a Minolta, you shoot in a Nikon :}

Nice catch-light in the eye, the smooth shape of the eye and the reflection in contrast to the weathered skin gives a sense of a meeting of the past and the present/future. I think this is brought out here with just having her one eye open.

Oh wow..!!
excellent concept... amazing details of the wrinkles on the face..!
Although a feel that the frame is a bit too crowded.. maybe a bit of breathing space on top and around the nose would have done immense justice and as a result one would have got a stronger portrait..!!
