I'm not sure that I understand this Lawrence but I am caught by your image, the elegant lady figure belongs in this place, it doesn't threaten her and she doesn't threaten it, the image should be in color and it is.....beautifully executed and engaging composition, I love it and I don't think I have expressed why, exactly, in this comment. cheers, david.
