This statue replica of an Ancient Chinese warrior is on display at the Hsi Lai Buddhist Temple in Hacienda Heights, California. I misplaced my notes, but plan to return for more photos and info and I believe this to be a painted ceramic figure of about three feet in heighth.
You misunderstand my comment (after five years, who could blame you?). I read your note about this being a statue, but my point was that the Greeks did not leave their statues as white marble, they actually painted faces and clothing on them! Rather like this Chinese figurine.
Hi Roger, took me five years to answer this but who's counting. This is not a painting, it's actually a ceramic figure (or maybe metal...I forget) about three feet tall.
