Tienes toda la razón, cambia el punto de fuga, que generalmente, por instinto, o simple casualidad lo ubico al centro.
Es verdad que debería jugar mas con eso, y si bien el formato vertical no lo uso mucho, quizas probar en terreno (con la camara) a ver que tal salen. Lo otro, claro es encuadrarlas en algún editor en el PC, pero prefiero mejor probar al instante sacando la foto no te parece? Trataré de seguir esto, y por supuesto ahi te cuento que tal me va con ello.

La verdad Sergio que las tuyas son muy buenas fotos también, lo que sí les observaría, es que el punto de fuga lo pones demasiado al centro, pero de todas formas esta cuestión también es relativa.
Ahora fijate...yo busqué el formato vertical para resaltar que verticalmente no hay simetría (el hormigon en sombras arriba y al agua iluminanda abajo) y las tuyas son todas apaisadas, creo que eso hace una diferencia...Yo creo que hay que buscar la simetría en un sentido para que resulten más interesantes y en ese sentido desarrolar la foto...yo a las tuyas las habría encuadrado también verticalmente.
Contame que te parece.

Que buena!! estas fotos simetricas y con esta profundidad son mis favoritas...
En varias de mis fotos he notado que busco quizas sin querer este tipo de efecto visual, es decir que junto con la simetria se pueda resaltar la profundidad cuando se dirige la vista hacia las lineas que fluyen hacia el centro del cuadro...
Me recordó por ejemplo unas cuantas de las que tengo en mi portafolios, y que si bien me gustan mucho, encuentro que no "encajan" en los parametros tecnicos de encuadres y todas esas "yerbas" de la composicion de los tercios y de no se que mas...en fin, lo que es a mi este tipo de fotos me encantan...
te dejo un ejemplo de 4 fotos mias que creo reflejan mejor lo que trataba de decir
ya eso, cero aporte jajajaja

Thank you Gust@vo. I'm glad you like the crop. By trimming the sides it keeps the eyes inside the pilons of the pier and they can't wander off to the sides outside the pilons. Also by trimming the top it takes the longer beams into the corners giving it a more dramatic look. With no sides or top there the eyes have nowhere to go but further into the image much like going through a tunnel. Wonderful iamge you have captured here I like it very much.

This is a wonderful image Gust@vo. Very interesting perspective under the pier. There are so man elements of interest here yet it remains so beautifully uncluttered. I love the lines, textures and the colours in the water are gorgeous. The light is fantastic casting interesting shadows and the sand and barnacles all wonderful. I love this.
I hope you don't mind but I wanted to see it wioth a tighter crop to see if it accentuated the dramtic lines. this is my take on the crop. Hope you don't mind that I tried this variation.

A superb and colourful perspective, Gustavo You've created a fine pattern, by using the concentric effect of the pillars and green river. Very well observed and composed. Perhaps the outside areas to left and right of the pillars, could be cropped out, to intensify the overall effect.
Un patrón magnífico, creado por los pilares concéntricos, y la superestructura, combinaron con el verde del río, Gustavo. Quizá los bordes externos, más allá de los pilares, se podían cosechar, hacia fuera para crear una perspectiva más intensa.
