I can't think why it has taken me so long to come across your beautiful portfolio. I'm grateful that you were selected for POD, which brought me here. I was prepared to be turned off--no personal details and "just a camera" instead of the details one likes to read. But your photos disarmed and completely won me over. I lived in Co. Durham for three years and in Edinburgh for six months (and then on the Moray Firth for another six months), and holidayed in Northumberland, so I know the North East and those northern skies fairly well. Your meticulous PhotoShop work is impressive, and you manage to make the most highly (over?) saturated colours work in your landscapes--although again this is something I don't normally find very appealing. And your macros? Quite, quite superb. I take the liberty of putting you among my "friends" because I want to see more...
Of the many pictures of yours that cried out for comments (but for which there was not enough time, alas), I chose this one because of its panoramic format. I love panoramas, and this is a beautiful example! I didn't notice a colour version of this, but it's hard to imagine it could improve on this B&W.
