About I was tempted to crop this as a square, but I have learned that Cartier-Bresson did not crop his photos.

Just the roving camera, Joao, with Tri-X film and a Nikon 28mm lens. I feel lucky when I catch kids doing something special.

Have a great day.

Hi Claire, at this time I took most of my pix with Tri-x and the Nikon F w/28mm lens.

You cannot beat the intimacy. Currently on my Nikon D70 I have to use the 18mm to get the same effect, because of the multiplier.

no, ha cartier-bresson strictly did his cropping with his eyes!! the child on the left fascinates me, with her handbag and glasses, striving to be older, it reminds me of tottering around in my mums heels when i was little! a gaze-gripping shot

Hi Marcio, I appreciate your comment and it made me think. What if I had gotten there a moment earlier to see what kind of pops they actually were eating.

Thanks, Gabry. A favorite of mine. They are young ladies now.

Wonderful photo Leora this looks superb in B&W :-)

I forgot to mention earlier (due to night shift syndrome lol) - I'm pleased you are all safe. What an upheaval it must have been - I hope there was not too much damage around you.

Best wishes,
Steve

Full of so many fun and interesting aspects...no crop needed---every little detail MAKES this shot!

Thank you all for your support. I agree there is something important about the original crop. To be studied at leisure, and possibly tinkered with, but altered only very cautiously.

And Max, your English is wonderful - you should see my Italian.

Hugs from Mum and Me.

It?s a wonderful shot, they are fantastic and so sweet, love their expressions and their attitude of young women! You learned the lesson ;) Cropping is too easy with PS now and I think that many people just clicks and then adjusts the image in Photoshop, what a pity? looking at the scene with your eyes and your mind, framing it exactly how you want and seeing the image in the display coincide with that in your mind are emotions that should not be lost? Sorry for my English, but I?m sure you understand ;)

I wish all the best to your mama and to you too.

Hugs
Max
