Q. New to phtography

Hello all you greats there !! I m new to the field of matured photography , and i want help , so am looking out for websites or books to help me get a headstart , I could really use some help , thanks !!

Hi Anant. I am not sure what you mean by "the field of matured photography", but a good place for anyone to start is by reading the book that came with your camera. It is surprising the number of people who think they know how a camera works, and never fully understand the capabilities of their particular model.

Amen to what Richard said. I keep a photocopy of my manual for each camera, flash, light meter in in my camera bag. I often have down time at events that I shoot (particularly sporting events) and reread them every chance I get. I would also suggest getting a book or two on the type of photography you are interested in, Amherst Media has quite a few and are generally pretty good. Finally, find a local camera club or a college offering continuing education courses in photography. I have found the feedback I got from others (students and staff) helped me accelerate my learning. And ........ when you get past the capture stage, the "Epson Complete Guide to Digital Printing" by Rob Sheppard, is a wonderful resource for improving your inkjet prints (even if you don't have an Epson printer).
