Q. help with lighting

Can anyone give me a hand with the lighting of this shot? http://www.usefilm.com/image/929310.html
Unfortunately I have black hair which fades into the background and so (I feel) detracts from the composition (basically it looks wierd. Can anyone give me a suggestion of a subtle lighting effect from PS, or could I make the background slightly lighter> or will I have to retake the shot and if so how should I light it? Thanks in advance for your words of wisdom.

I'd be inclined to re-shoot, with a small source imitating the moon - ie on the far side of the person and a little above - to give just a touch of rim lighting. A light blue gel - something like 1/8 CTB - on the rim light might help.
