hi,my understanding of an "associate" here at UF is someone with images that caught your eye and you want to keep posted on a daily basis what new images they uploaded,so you click associate after their name and then your list begins...similar to your "friend's list",but they are not notified when you choose them or delete them from your associate list.......if you choose them as friends,then they know when added and deleted

Hi Gayle,
I did add people to my associates, but did not get notice when the posted photos. I think it is a just a list of poeple you are interested in, and an easy way of getting to their portfolio by clicking their name, just an "addres book" for your own use.

hi, if you look up top right where it says welcome Huub,you will see that it shows *(9 by Friends)(8 by associates)and these are the new images these people have posted
*this is an example using my own numbers)
click on the associates one and you will see a page of all images posted by your associate's list
