  Q. Nikon D100

Asked by Kim Barke    (K=278) on 10/16/2002
Has anyone tried this camera? Does it do as well with macros as the Coolpix 5000? Does anyone think it is a problem that it doesn't have ISO 100?

I'm surprised that no one answered this simple question. It may be that the site name is intimidating towards film. However, let me admit, the first to say this camera is excellent, since using both film & digital. The ability to use interchangable lens, make this ideal for almost all styles of photography. Bottom line, it is the top of the line for advance amatures, and gives excellent results equal to film. The initial investment is the separating factor, but still doesn't amount to the quality of very large enlargments, digital is catching up with.

Macro is great. I have used the 105 1:1 (on the D100 it is a 1.5:1) and the pictures were great. In my portfolio on here I have one that I took with a 1:2 135 of my eye. It was just a spur of the moment shot, but it still came out VERY good.

Love this camrea :) Moveing from Canon over to completely nikon next week (buying a film body for the lenses that i have aquired and 2 more lenses :) )
