Q. Wide Format

This area is mostly for photos that have an aspect ratio (ratio of width to height) that is 2:1 or greater. They are usually made either by trimming the top and/or bottom of a standard shot to give it the higher aspect ratio, or taken by special cameras. Film cameras include the Hasselblad T-1 and T-2 35mm cameras that can switch between 24 x 36mm and 24 x 67mm images. Also the Fuji 6 x 17 which takes large negatives 6 x 17cm in size on 120 or 220 roll film. But disposable cameras that have a panorama format are great for those who like to use "toy" cameras to show that equipment limitations need not prevent the good photographer from achieving great results. The late unlamented ASP format cameras also had a panorama mask in the viewfinder and the film frame...

I forgot to mention that Fuji makes the T series panorama camera OEM for Hasseblad, and also sells it within Japan as the TX series. I own and love the TX-1, which has a 45mm F/4 lens. Not a fast lens, by any means, but a great performer with fine image quality and definition. There is also a modestly priced 90mm lens, fine for panoramas in the mountaings, and a VERY expensive 30mm lens for very wide-angle coverage.
