Q. Hey, I bought some gel filters, and a bogen tripod. Need some advice, pleeeeease:}

Yah, I got my hands on some gel filters and a tripod. I really want to get into the ansel adams landscape photography thing. I use a nikon n-80 and a nikon f3 hp. If anyone has any tips on B&W photography using filters and a tripod it would help me greatly. I get my drivers liscense in 2 months, when I get i'm going to hop in my car and find the most beautiful landscape I can find. I can't wait.I really want to make the landscape photos I take speak to the viewer(with the use of my new gel filters). Some tips from personal experiences or ideas would be cool.
